We give freely, without need of recognition, acknowledgement or reward.
We actively speak, or work, on behalf of those who cannot speak up or help themselves.
We offer fidelity and support to our members and community, respecting all living creatures.
The CWLWA is committed to championing women and the many varied issues they are facing in their lives, all through the lens of the Catholic Church.
We aim to support and influence through advocacy and financial support and by canvassing both State and Federal members of Parliament to work to uphold the dignity of all women.
Our work assists women who are marginalised through poverty, violence and discrimination of any kind, including coercion into practices that do not reflect a strong, democratic and inclusive community.
The CWLWA reach extends across the State, with branches in the city and in many country towns. We also welcome associate members, those who wish to support our ideals, but are unable to join a branch due to geographical distance.
If you are interested in becoming a member or an associate, email cwlwa.inc@gmail.com with your contact details and we will be in touch. Or you can contact your local branch.
CWL have continued to support the good work of St Pats Community Care in Fremantle. This year St Pat’s commences a much needed upgrade to their facilities in order to work to help meet the needs of the vulnerable people in the city. The funds the CWL has contributed will go to assist them in this work. This is thanks to the good work of the CWL through WA, in years both past and present.

THE CWLWA have supported this wonderful organisation situated in the South West. It is a regional accommodation and support service for women and their children who are homeless, or are at imminent risk of homelessness, as a result of family and domestic violence. It is a culturally safe place for women and their children to be empowered and remain safe while rebuilding their lives.
Faith Education for our young is vital to ensure they can grow in their love for our faith and live their live as the Gospel teaches us. THE CWL over the past year or so have supported this group with funds to purchase additional resources to assist the volunteer staff who work with the children.

Last year the CWL was able to give a generous sum to the Bishop of Myanmar to help the many local people who were affected by the devastation of the earthquake. The Bishop and whole community were very grateful for the help and assured the CWL the funds would be used to help the people in dire situations.

CWLWA is proud to have been involved in the set up of the inaugural housing project in North Fremantle.
This project will provide one-bedroom homes for 18 homeless women over 55, aided by our financial support and volunteers.
We are deeply committed to support women in alleviating homelessness. Our Women’s League provides financial help for the WA seminary and support for students through chaplaincy programs and bursaries. We make home visits to the sick and elderly and offer shelter to those in need of sanctuary.
Our commitment extends to supporting women in need worldwide. One recent initiative was a drive for winter clothing to support needy families in the Ukraine.
